Starting Out: For the Time is at Hand

I start this blog from the last book of the Bible written by the Apostle John while he was on the island of Patmos:

Internet Fair Use - St. John on Patmos by Gasper de Crayer

"Better is the end of a thing then the beginning thereof..." (Eccl. 7:8)
"The Revelation of Jesus Christ...to shew things which must shortly come to pass...." (Rev. 1:1)

A blessing is provided at the outset of John's letter:

"Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and (they that) keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand." (Rev. 1:3)

And at the very end of the book of Revelation:

"He that testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen.
      Even so, come, Lord Jesus
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen." (Rev. 22:20-21)

So, for simple emphasis, I repeat my message for today:  "For the time is at hand...Even so come Lord Jesus!"

He who has ears to hear, let him listen.
